Opus had its World Premiere as part of the 2025 Sundance Film Festival. Starring Ayo Edebiri as a young journalist who travels for a story to a reclusive pop star’s mysterious compound, where he (John Malkovich) oversees a group of strangely loyal followers. Written & directed by first-time filmmaker Mark Anthony Green, and distributed by A24, the movie was one of the hardest tickets to snag at Sundance but did the film justify its hype?
