DIRECTOR: Ben Stiller | STARRING: Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Penelope Cruz

RUNTIME: 102 minutes | RATING: PG-13 | SCORE: 1/5

Derek and Hansel are modelling again when an opposing company attempts to take them out from the business.

Remember when you used to write assignments the day before they were due? Well, Ben Stiller and Justin Theroux see that as the model of success, regardless of having 15 years to prepare.

Just like in fashion, Zoolander 2 reminds you that while some things are “in” they can easily go away….especially if you’ve waited over a decade. Unlike other long-awaited sequels such as Anchorman 2 and even Dumb and Dumber To,  this installment sets out to fill a void that wasn’t even there. Even if you recognize the type of humor that it’s meant to be you can’t help but be baffled at how idiotic it can get.

If there’s one thing I can give credit to both films in this franchise (and oh dear, it's a franchise) is that they know how to get great cameos.  Many times they even capitalize on them and sneak in some snarky jabs at the celebrities. However, here, they not only over saturate the screen with appearances, but embarrass the actors involved. Susan Sarandon, c’mon!

As a comedy, it misses more than a little leaguer being pitched to by a Dominican pitcher. As far as plot goes, you’ve written better ones in 3rd grade when you played with MadLibs. And as for my rating by the end credits, I give it the lowest possible STREAM IT I can give a film.

Sure, you’ll get one chuckle and be surprised with who pops up, but it’s OK to try Stiller. It’s OK to try.
