A24 makes $8 million bet on Sorry, Baby | First Review @ Sundance

Sorry, Baby, which premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival, comes from first-time filmmaker Eva Victor, who writes, directs and stars in this film about Agnes, who had something bad happen to her. The movie won the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award but it also felt like the movie with the best buzz at Sundance and sold to A24 for a solid $8 million. Did Sorry, Baby earn its hype out of Sundance?
